The airport is about ten kilometres from the centre of Málaga, the shortest distance of anywhere on the Costa del Sol. The route comes in along Avenida de Andalucía or the seafront promenade and ends beside the Alameda Principal, Plaza de la Marina or Muelle Uno, depending on where you are staying.
The old town has pedestrian streets, such as Calle Larios, and restricted access for cars, so the driver drops you at the closest accessible point to your accommodation. If you are heading to the María Zambrano station to continue by train, or to the cruise terminal in the port, enter it as your destination when you book and the price is calculated for that exact spot.
